" Increasing its distribution in Italy, and finding customers in France, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Romania, the Milan-based brand of coordinated knitwear for babies, adults and pets Gensami presents its first FW23/24 Women Collection.
 
In addition, starting this fall, Gensami will be present with its newborn collection in 15 luxury childrenswear multibrands scattered throughout Italy, as well as in 5 stores abroad.
 
Gensami's international expansion has led it to find new clients in Dubai, Moscow, Paris, Tashkent, and Bucharest, while the two founders, Miruna Gheordunescu and Andre Costache estimate a turnover of more than 7 million euros within the next four years, and revealed us that they also have the United States in their sights.
 
Gensami's first winter womenswear collection reinforces the founders' love for Milan, drawing inspiration from various works (especially mosaics and marble) of the famous milanese architect and designer Gio Ponti, which are narrated by the brand with blends of noble fibers, such as merino wool.
 
The colors are the soft and elegant ones of marble. Gensami elaborates its shapes and shades with a mix of patterns that recalls the artist's pavements. The collection's protagonist is the oversized hoodie in contrasting colors and geometric designs evoking marble pavé mosaics.
 
The Yellow Thread is of course carried over by this collection. It represents the brand’s signature and it recalls a ray of sunshine, the role that loved ones play in our lives. It is placed on the left cuff, the side of the heart.
 
Gensami wants to spread a message of love that does not stop only at the concept of the extended family, but embraces Milan (a city characterized in its architecture by sober elegance and purity of lines and geometrical shapes) and reflects it in the mix of patterns and yarns of knits with essential shapes.
 
Completing the collection are sophisticated accessories such as the balaclava, a handcrafted headpiece made from a blend of baby alpaca, cashmere and silk, embellished with the Yellow Thread.
